The Sun Shines on the 2nd Annual Los Angeles Concours d’Elegance
The stars, being the cars, were aligned for the 2nd Annual Los Angeles Concours d’ Elegance at the Rose Bowl and adjacent Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena on June 3, 2007. The weathermen gave the green light on good weather, and it was a glorious day.
The 2nd Annual Los Angeles Concours d’ Elegance was presented by Assistance League of Southern California. Some 350 extraordinary automobiles sparkled in the abundant sun—from the famous Round Door Rolls-Royce to American and European prewar and postwar classics to vintage race cars.
The Best in Show Prewar trophy winner was the 1936 Delahaye owned by Ken and Ann Smith and the Best in Show Postwar trophy was given to the 1964 Ferrari Lusso owned by Alan Hart.
Thousands of auto enthusiasts, friends, guests and press welcomed the second Los Angeles Concours d’Elegance, doubling last year’s attendance. The proceeds benefit more than 100,000 individuals served each year through the eight program services of Assistance League of Southern California (ALSC), a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit corporation founded in 1919, providing a variety of programs that enable individuals with critical needs to lead independent, productive lives.
